How to estimate a moving volume?
The trade's quick rule: floor area ÷ 2 = volume in m³, adjusted ±10–20 % for furniture density. Benchmarks: a studio is usually 10–12 m³, a one-bedroom around 18 m³, a two-bedroom 20–26 m³. Golden rule: 1 m³ ≈ 10 standard boxes.
This calculator gives a reliable estimate for your free moving quote. For complex inventories (villas, pianos, artwork), we confirm the volume with a free survey — on site or by video call.
